FAQ

  • Will the 20 hours be enough for the LSAT Coach to walk me through the whole curriculum?

This is not guaranteed. Both of the Coaching Packages are designed to cover all of the curriculum based on the average student's pace (with the 30-hour package building in way more time for review, and hence a much better chance of covering everything needed). However, learning styles and needs vary, and going too fast for your personal needs is not helpful if the material is still confusing. If your LSAT Coach notices that more time should be spent on any topic, she'll let you know and make adjustments to the study plan as needed. We'll always try our best to cover everything by the end of the 20-hour program, but if we see that additional time is needed, we will advise you and let you decide how to proceed.

  • Can I choose which skill(s) I want to work on?

Yes. Normally, we'll follow the curriculum and break down one skill at a time, because that is how we see the most student success. However, you can always bring up any question that you may have about any topic. Generally, the first part of the Zoom session is spent reviewing and clarifying any topics needed before proceeding to add on new topics.

  • How many hours will I need?

Classic lawyer answer here: it depends (: Our Coaching Packages are designed to teach you all the skills by providing enough hours to walk you through the whole curriculum (based on what we see on average). However, One-on-One Coaching will always be adapted to the student's personal needs and pace, so the total hours needed could be higher or lower than the 20 to 30 hours provided in the packages. Also, most students like to schedule in some extra coaching sessions after finishing the initial curriculum, just to continue tweaking and refining any issues before test day. The best way to know how many hours you'll need is to start working with us so that you and your personal coach can measure your progress and modify the study schedule as needed.

  • Do I need to purchase any extra materials?

All LSAT made simple offerings, including One-on-One Coaching, require an active student subscription with LawHub Advantage. Students may purchase their subscription either directly from LawHub, or from us. The subscription costs $120/year, and it gives you access to all of the official LSAT prep tests and materials currently released by LSAC. If you already have an active subscription, you're good to go.

  • What practice materials are included?

One-on-One Coaching requires that you have an active subscription with LawHub Advantage, so that means you'll have access to all of the most up-to-date official LSAT practice tests, drill sets, and writing prompts. For extra guidance, your coach will personally upload specific practice sets, categorized by question type, to your personalized One-on-One Coaching Portal. That way you'll know exactly what you should be working on in between sessions, and we can even track your progress.

  • How are One-on-One Session Conducted?

Sessions are conducted via Zoom, but you'll be able to join the meeting on lsatmadesimple.com through your personalized One-on-One Portal on your Student Dashboard.

  • What is my personal One-on-One Portal and how do I access it?

Since your One-on-One Coaching experience will be 100% personalized to you, our team will create a personal portal for you to access all of the materials, guidance, and Zoom sessions that you schedule. After you enroll by purchasing the initial hour, you'll receive instructions on how to email us to schedule the first session. We will then get in touch with you to confirm the session date and time, and you'll also receive your own personal link to your customized One-on-One Portal.

  • What's the difference between the Core Strategies Coaching Package and the Comprehensive Coaching Package?

The Core Strategies Coaching Package is a 20-hour program designed to walk you through all of the skills at a faster pace. Because the program is more lean, this program is best for students who learn more quickly and need less review time during each session. If you are good at learning material in class and then studying/practicing on your own to master it, then the 20-hour program is for you. For more time to dive deeper into complex question types, the 30-hour Comprehensive Coaching Package builds in extra time for review, practice, and clarification. If you are someone who benefits from extra guidance as you learn and practice new skills, then the 30-hour program is the better option for you.

  • If I need extra sessions after I use up my Coaching Package, do I get a discount?

Yes. We will honor the discounted hourly rate of the particular Coaching Package you purchased if you need to purchase additional coaching hours. For example, after you use up the 30 hours from the Comprehensive Coaching Package, you can schedule additional sessions at the discounted $80/hr rate.

Student Testimonials

“I started working with Crystal in December of 2024, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my LSAT prep. Before finding Crystal, I had tried several mainstream programs and tutors that came highly recommended, but none of them truly clicked for me. The scores showed exactly that and I was losing confidence. That all changed when I began studying with Crystal. From day one, she brought structure, clarity, and encouragement to my study process. She created tailored strategies for every question type in LR and RC and broke down why certain answers were wrong—not just superficially, but in a way that made sense for how I approached the questions. Crystal doesn’t just teach the material she understands the way us LSAT students think and help us rewire bad habits into effective, strategic thinking. Crystal has been a constant source of support during the highs and lows of my journey. She's celebrated my wins, helped me work through frustrations, and even kept me grounded during moments of burnout or self-doubt. I truly feel like I’ve gained not just an incredible tutor, but also a cheerleader and mentor. Thanks to Crystal, my score has improved significantly, and I finally feel like I’m reaching my full potential. If you’re ready to put in the work and want a tutor who will match your effort 100%, look no further. I only wish I had started working with her sooner! Irregardless (our inside joke), Forever Grateful <3 Truly the Best”

“Crystal is the best tutor in Miami. She provides a ton of resources and information for her services. As a biology undergrad, I faced many challenges with my transition into the LSAT yet she made it easy. She breaks down each question one by one providing extreme detail and faster problem-solving skills. These changes increased my score from a 150 to a 164. I’m truly thankful and honored to have learned from such an amazing tutor and recommend her to all trying to reach their scores!”

“I want to say right at the beginning that I am so grateful for Crystal and all her help!! She is truly a great tutor who helped me so much for the LSAT and during the application process. When I started my LSAT journey it was with a big name tutoring company in February 2024. I took an online live class with them to prepare for the June 2024 exam. I didn't feel fully prepared for the exam because I was not seeing any improvement in the logical reasoning section. I was disappointed with my score because I knew I could do better. After a little break in the summer, I started working with Crystal which was a game changer!! We focused on the logical reasoning section since it was my weaker section, but still worked on the reading comprehensive section. Compared to the big name tutoring company, Crystal was a breath of fresh air. She actually explained each question type: what are they asking, what does it mean, how they work, how to get to the answer. She broke it down in a way that made it easy to understand. She would answer any questions, both during and outside the sessions. Before working with Crystal, I was lucky to get maybe 14/15 out of 25/26 right in logical reasoning. But once I started working with her, I increased it to 21/22 out of 25/26! My practice scores went up as well. The highest score on a practice test I got was a 164. My highest score that I got on the LSAT was a 159 on the November exam but that was higher than the score I got in the June 2024 exam. I actually learned how the logical reasoning section works and how to answer the questions which I didn't learn working with the big name company. Crystal was an amazing tutor and I am so grateful for all of her help. If you considering working with her, DO IT!!! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!”
